My Story

I grew up in the sunny state of Florida and even then, I always loved school. Yes, I was that kid. My love for education has always been a driving force in my life and I had the opportunity to teach 7th grade History for several years before transitioning into administration. I am happily married to Dr. Sheats who also serves here at SACS. We are blessed with two amazing children, Lillian and J. Stephen, both proud graduates of SACS. Together we have lived in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia before eventually finding our way to Texas. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve at SACS.

What church do you attend?

Shearer Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

I love the opportunity to walk alongside our students, faculty, and staff, and to be part of such a wonderful community. It is a joy to watch our students grow, both spiritually and academically, and it is truly a privilege to share in such a meaningful season of their lives. There is nothing quite like watching a student discover their gifts and begin to use them for God’s glory. I am continually humbled by the opportunity to pray with and for our students, faculty, and staff, and to see God at work in our school community every single day.

Favorite Bible verse

Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

What are your hobbies and interests?

When I am not busy deciphering new words MS students come up with, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, going to the movies and spending time with my family.
