My Story
Hello, my name is Brandon Bock. I worked in healthcare for 20 years. I began my journey as a combat medic in the U.S. Army assigned to the 101st Infantry Division. I deployed to Iraq for 15 months in 2007. Upon my return from deployment, the Army sent me to the first of many nursing education programs. I started my nursing career in the Burn Unit at BAMC in San Antonio. It was during this time that I met the beautiful woman, Andrea, who is my loving wife and the mother of our adorable daughters. I have worked in everything from a COVID travel charge nurse to NICU/PICU ECMO. I have learned the depths of the human body and can keep it alive as long as our Lord allows.

What do you love the most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I have taught many nurses, nursing students, and new Grads as they have traveled through my ICUs and my life. Working with someone as they engage in a new subject can lead to the most rewarding feeling when they get it, and the concepts sink in. Bringing my knowledge and experience to the SACS High School helps me feel that the long days and tough lessons I have endured are all worth it.

Matthew 5:11-12- “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
Fitness, photography, reading, and RVing.
