My Story
I have been married to my wife, Marilyn, for 28 years. We have a 12-year old daughter, Rebekah, who we are currently homeschooling. I have taught at the high school and collegiate levels for 29 years in English, Bible, History, Math, Latin, and Drama.
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I love teaching and, God willing, hope to teach until I am 90 years old (unless God calls me to the pastorate!). I view my purpose in the classroom as equipping young saints for a lifetime of works of service (Eph 4:12).
Favorite Bible verse
“In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.” (James 2:17)
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love travel, having visited Europe/Israel ten times (five of these have been leading student and adult tours). I also love being interested in my daughter’s current interests (for now, this means learning to play Minecraft with her!). I am also a voracious reader of history, literature, and Early Church Fathers.
