My Story

My husband, Austin, and I are high school sweethearts from Toledo, Ohio. After teaching high school science, his military career brought us to San Antonio in 2012. I joined SACS in 2013 to teach HS math and coach the Varsity cheer team before the Army moved our family to Georgia. After spending several years at home raising our three children, we returned to San Antonio knowing SACS was where we wanted our family to be. Now all three of our children attend SACS, and I am grateful to be back serving the school community that has meant so much to us!

What church do you attend?

Trinity Grace Presbyterian Church, San Antonio

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?

Returning to teaching at SACS after 11 years has truly felt like coming home. I love the close-knit community, the rich traditions, and, most importantly, the way Christ is at the center of everything. It is such a joy to serve alongside teachers who love the Lord and are passionate about investing in the lives of their students.

What sport(s) do you coach?

MS Head Cheer Coach and HS Assistant Cheer Coach

Favorite Bible verse

Zephaniah 3:17 – The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I love staying active and helping others discover the joy of movement through training group fitness classes. I also coach the middle school cheer team and assist with the high school cheer program. When I’m not teaching or coaching, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and our three children.
