My Story
I was blessed to grow up in a small community in the Oklahoma panhandle that was centered on Christ. I grew up heavily involved in my local church and have been serving God ever since I can remember. Following college, I commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps. I gained valuable leadership experience through multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. My last duty station was on Oahu, Hawaii, where I met my beautiful wife, whom I married in 2021. We have three beautiful daughters who are the pride and joy of our lives. I made a career change to teaching and coaching in 2023, where I have felt God has always been calling me.
What church do you attend?
Cornerstone Church
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
I love being able to instill hard work and develop character through athletics. I feel God has always been calling me to mentor and challenge children through athletic endeavors and tying that back to the word of God. The value gained through challenges and pushing yourself proves to be invaluable later in life. Being able to connect hard work and resiliency through the teachings of Christ is a dream come true.
What sport(s) do you coach?
Basketball and Golf
Favorite Bible verse
Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
Playing with my girls is by far my favorite hobby. I love following and playing all sports and am a diehard Oklahoma and OKC Thunder fan. My time is mainly consumed with my family, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
