My Story
When I was 4 years old, I had my tonsils out. I had the kindest nurse and from that moment on just knew that God had called me to be a nurse. It has been my joy to care for people in Oncology, ER/trauma, labor/delivery, ambulatory care and infusing nursing, and of course, school nursing! I moved here to San Antonio in 1995 after marrying the love of my life, Greg. We have 7 children total. They bring me so much joy and are my joy. A large extended family and many precious friends make life so rich, and I am thankful for God’s love that is so evident through them.
What church do you attend?
Wayside Chapel
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at SACS?
Truly, I love the students and am thrilled that God in His goodness has allowed me to return. It is awesome to be a part of their journeys as they grow mentally, physically and spiritually. Many of my sweet friendships have come from these students and their families. The staff and faculty here are so devoted to Jesus and to living out their faith and this is amazing to be a part of. SACS is family!
Favorite Bible verse
Isaiah 43: 18-19 – “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love spending time with my family and dear friends, who are “framily”. I enjoy sports of all kinds, but especially football. Cooking and baking are favorites for me! I also enjoy traveling!
