Dr. Jake Walters

Dr. Jake Walters graduated with a degree in Psychology from Texas A&M and earned his Masters in Education at Houston Baptist. To complete his education, Dr. Walters then returned to Texas A&M to receive his Doctorate in Educational Administration.

Dr. Walters has over 40 years of education experience. He taught Life and Earth Science for ten years and served as Principal for five years. He also served as head of school in Christian Schools for 24 years, and is in his 7th year at SACS.

Fun Fact: Dr. Walter's family was awarded land in Texas under a Mexican Land Grant and has been here ever since.

Dr. Jared Roan

Dr. Jared Roan

Dr. Jared Roan has over 20 years of both public and private education experience. He began his career as a teacher and coach at Waxahachie ISD.  After seven years in public education, Dr. Roan was called to private school administration.  Since answering this call, Dr. Roan has worked in private schools in Dallas, Weatherford, and San Antonio as both a High School Principal and Head of School.  Dr. Roan earned his B.S. in Education from McMurry University in Abilene, TX.  His Masters degree is in Education Administration from Texas A&M University – Commerce.  In 2020, Dr. Roan graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with an Ed.D. in Educational Administration with a focus in leadership.  His dissertation titled, Social Time: Perceptions of Social Media and Social Networking’s Impact on Adolescent Student Time Management, reflects his passion for student success. 

Dr. Roan has been with SACS since 2014 as the High School Principal.  He loves his students and is passionate about pointing them towards Jesus and preparing them for their futures.  Jared is married to his wife, Mylia, and has two children (Hadlee and Hudson).

Fun Fact: Dr. Roan used to be a Disney Vacation Planner!

 

Catherine Sheats

Catherine Sheats

Mrs. Catherine Sheats graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University where she studied History and Secondary Education. She expanded her education by enrolling into Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and earned her Masters in Religious Education. Catherine then attended Liberty University to receive her Masters in Education.

Prior to coming to SACS in 2015, Catherine taught 7th grade Geography and was an Upper School Administrator at Covenant Academy in Macon, GA (where she focused on classical education).

Catherine has a passion for curriculum and the formation of students throughout the K-12 structure.

Fun Fact: Catherine is an avid reader!

Jason Buck

Jason Buck

Mr. Jason Buck graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a degree in Sports Management. He continued his education by becoming a certified teacher through LeTourneau University. After teaching for a decade, Jason pursued his Masters degree in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University, followed by his Texas Principal Certification.

Today, Jason is our Middle School Vice Principal and Secondary Athletic Director. He has been at SACS since 2002 and has worn many hats during his time on campus. Jason is married to his wife Rachel and has two children (Baker and Beckett).

Fun Fact: Jason played college soccer at UIW!

Cheryl Womack

Cheryl Womack

Mrs. Cheryl Womack graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Cheryl is furthering her education by pursuing her Masters degree in Education Administration Supervision at Liberty University.

Cheryl taught 3rd grade for two years and 2nd grade for three years. She then stayed home to raise her two children. After they both enrolled into school, Cheryl resumed her teaching career at SACS. After spending some time heavily involved with our school, Cheryl became the Elementary Director in 2019.

Fun Fact: Cheryl loves New Mexican green and red chili!

Tracy Smith

Tracy Smith

Tracy Smith is a proud Texas A&M Aggie with a degree in Marketing. Her most significant educational experience was spending three years at Dallas Theological Seminary. While earning a Masters in Christian Education, she met Christians from all over the world, sat under theological scholars, and toured Israel.

While at DTS she met her husband who brought her to San Antonio where he began pastoring churches, and they raised two daughters to love the Lord. After spending many wonderful years at home with her girls, Tracy began working again in Christian education.

Tracy began at SACS in the Spring of 2017 as Director of Development, and is currently the Director of Enrollment Management. Her older daughter graduated from SACS in 2019, and her younger will graduate in 2022.

Fun Fact: Tracy loves sipping hot tea while watching British period dramas.
